CHLOE RODGERS FACES

This brooding electronic cut from Chloe Rodgers proves that the Nottingham-based vocalist is one to watch. ‘Faces’ takes a range of influences that span from Radiohead’s Thom Yorke to megastar Billie Eilish, and you can find this eclectic mixture of sounds flowing within the track. Lyrically, ‘Faces’ is diverse too, starting out as a retelling of a perfect day, before switching gears into the exact opposite: “The first half of ‘Faces’ is about one of the loveliest days I’ve had where I felt so connected to my friends and the universe. The second half is about one of the worst days of my life where I felt like I was being eaten alive by paranoia and fear, I really thought I wasn’t going to make it out alive that day.” Take a look back at her collaboration with Twenty Committee, and look forward to a string of new releases from this exciting newcomer. -Dan Peeke
